Good News

Last night was closing night for the highlighted play at Chula Vista High; "Good News". This 1947 play that takes place at fictitious Tait University in the Roaring 20's, with a co-ed and school librarian Connie Lane who falls for football hero Tommy Marlowe. Unfortunately, he has his eye on gold-digging vamp Pat McClellan who is played by Angelica Alamo (picture on top). Tommy's grades start to slip, which keeps him from playing in the big game. Connie eventually finds out Tommy really loves her and devises a plan to win him back and to get him back on the field.
Angelica gives quite the performance to have been captured by my camera. I hope to see more talent out her in the near future, but till then, click hereto see the sample.

Nip Tuck

At La Costa Resort & Spa I was able to get a first time look at a real cosmetic surgery. This 50 year old woman wanted to get her wrinkles reduced for a younger look and was a live study subject for a hotel meeting.
This meeting had a live surgery behind the drape with a projected screen were cosmetic sergeants analyzed the procedure as I videotaped the process.
Internet footage coming soon...

The VocAlamo Wedding

It's been two months now since I got engaged with the girl that I decided to spend my life with. Marcia. On September 9th 2005 I gave her a DVD and in this DVD it held moving images of us and our four years spent together. With songs by, Usher "you remind me", Shaggy "angel", & our soon to be wedding song featuring Do "heaven" from the candlelight Sep. 11 Remix, Marcia was asked the BIG QUESTION at the end of the DVD with four simple words artistically placed together with Live Type & Final Cut that read: "Will You Marry Me".
The Answer was Yes.
Never would I have imagined creating an artistic piece for the girl that I love. Click on the DVD image to view the big question.

The Creator

Welcome my fellow citizens. My name is Ruben R. Alamo. My mission is to give joy, inspiration, and entertainment; providing those who admire the satisfaction of artistic video and the comfort of family memories. Video as well as photography has been in my life since day one. Using my dads new sony high 8 camera at the age of twelve, presented and guided me to my future path in life. In school, I was always involved with video technology and developed a memorable 'Senior Graduation Montage' that brought tears to many and gave me the final decision on my future goals. I studied the fundamentals of Videography and design at the Art Institute of Santa Monica. There I produced my first thesis film where I received an achieving award of 'Best Comedy and Scripted film of the year'. After receiving my degree, I began to film events and decided to start my very own business using a name that was never lost from childhood. RA Creations was the name I kept and the name that will live by my side for I am the creator.
